Chris Stewart – President 

Chris Stewart is a former professional ice hockey forward. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames, and Philadelphia Flyers. He played junior hockey with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

 

 

 

Tony Maucieri – Vice President

Anthony Maucieri brings a wealth of experience in the local hockey and business community. Maucieri has coached youth and high school hockey, for over 20 years, as well as having served 4 years as youth hockey president.  His son, Josh Maucieri starred on both the Northern Lakes high school hockey team, Breezy Point North Stars (NA3HL) and Swan Valley Stampeders (MJHL) andnow plays at St. Thomas University.  Anthony is a local business owner and will bring his successful business knowledge to our growing hockey vision for the Junior hockey program.

 

 

 

 

Craig Larson – Hockey Operations Director

Coach Craig Larson’s coaching experiences span over 23 years, with stops in Junior Hockey and Minnesota High School Hockey. He also has experience with professional and Junior scouting.

Most recently, Craig served as head boys High School Hockey Coach, for the Northern Lakes Lightning, playing out of Breezy Point, MN where he coached for 9 seasons. He was named 2021 Section 5A Head coach of the year and led his Northern Lakes Lighting to their first ever Minnesota State Tournament in 2021. Larson also served as General Manager for the Breezy Point North Stars for 5 years. Prior to Breezy Point, Larson was Coach and General Manager in the NA3HL and MNJHL junior hockey leagues. During those seasons, he worked with the Minnesota Flying Aces and Granite City Lumberjacks, where also during that time his teams advanced over thirty players to the college level and higher level junior ranks.

From 2009-2011, Larson was a U.S. regional amateur scout working for the International Scouting Service. As a regional scout for ISS, he evaluated and filed reports on players eligible for the NHL Draft.

During the 2008-2009 season Craig was the associate head coach and director of scouting for the Granite City Lumberjacks of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League. His role with the Lumberjacks helped bring the expansion team to a third place finish at the 2009 USA Hockey Junior A Tier III National Championships in Marlboro, Massachusetts.

Larson first started as head coach for the St. Cloud Apollo High School boy’s hockey team from 2000-2007. He also continues to serve as a coach/evaluator for the USA Hockey Advanced program for Minnesota from 2000-2022.

Larson is a part owner of Minnesota Hockey Camps. MHC has an over 40 year tradition of developing players with a real passion for elite player development for players from bantam to college age and even Professionals in on/off ice training. He is also Director of Player Personnel for the Aberdeen Wings (NAHL). Craig is married to his wife of 13 years. They have one son, three happy high energy dogs and reside in Nisswa, MN.
